?'s on my engine

Installed a street ported motor - Ran ok but choppy
Tried to get a tune and the tuner said it was something internal/mechanically wrong.

Car runs pig rich
Eats GAS HORRIBLY under 3k 150-200 miles per tank
Oil Reaks of Gas
Foiled Plugs
Vac holds at 11 steady
Feels like **** under 3k (Studder almost)
Won't start up on key (Takes anywhere from 5 seconds to sometimes a minute) unless ran hard and then started up next morning

Any Idea's?

Notes:
I have a minor exhaust leak due to a stud breaking when reinstalling the motor. I have upped injectors 550's and 1300's.

Did you have the injectors cleaned and tested before reinstalling them?
Did you install the injector seals under the primary rail?
I have to guess that you have a Power FC?

Have you done a compression test?

I'd get it to a rotary mechanic. Rich Farrel's (sp? sorry rich ;-) ) is in Northern New Jersey. Dave at KD Rotary is in PA, etc.

Vac seems very low. I had similar symptom on my last motor. When I pulled it, I found a chipped apex seal.

When I put in a new ported motor, I had the same symptoms again and thought "GREAT, blown seal AGAIN".

I took it to Dave at KD. He asked me to turn it over. I did. He said it sounded ok - no blown apex seal. He stared at it for about 30 seconds and noticed I attached a vac line to an incorrect location (stupid me). He moved the line and WOW vac went from 11 lbs to 18. Motor idled great. Ran great. etc.

Hopefully its something similar.

I'd get it t a rotary mechanic.
