You are thinking of the white lights put into the stock cluster.

i dont know who would want to put the rx8 cluster in the fd. in my opinion its ugly, the spedometer is electronic, and it looks like the 350z's. i think the fd's is beautiful and can be modified many other ways to give it a more sleek and unique look.

I think the rx8 cluster looks awesome. I wish someone can do it with a writeup so others can do it like myself.

i have tracked down a cheap RX8 cluster and now I'm just searching for an FD console to fit it into, will keep you posted on progress.

I agree with the different types of faces you can replace your FD faces with but as far as replacing the actual cluster iteslf, I think that would be pretty unique.

+1 on the kiwi ingenuity!! Trust us to try something like this. I hope you manage to get around the electrical side of things as I have heard the RX8's are a bitch with thier wiring!! good luck and make sure you keep us posted.

it won't just be as simple as re-wiring the dash. the speed, rpm, water temp etc... will more then likely be not compatible. so you'll have to use the sensors from an rx8 and they they won't be compatible with the ecu... yeh sure it could be done but it would be a big job for someone who knows what they are doing. then you need make up a custom dash to house the thing.

Trust an Aussie to come in and tell it like it is :P
