WA rx7store v-mount kit installation

i need help. I have searched for multiple hours and days for some sort of instructions, or even just a couple good pictures of this kit installed and complete and I am not finding anything. I feel retarded that I can't figure this out, but from what Jason from rx7store tells me, its relatively easy. He told me I am not to use all the brackets given in the kit. The kit sent to me was the RX7 front mount intercooler kit made by Autobahn88. I am having trouble figuring out how to mount the radiator. there are only 4 brackets that show any sort of symmetry at all, and I don't see where they mount up. Also the feet that were welded to the side of the radiator are undrilled. Am I supposed to just wedge them in somewhere? or drill to fit? I really have no idea what I am doing with all these random brackets, and before I go rig my own set up, I was wondering if anybody could help me use what I got. Even a good picture of the radiator mounted up is all I really need. Thanks for any help guys.

Here is a picture of what I was given. If anyone could even just point out which ones I need, and a tip to where they would go, I could really get this ball rolling... I know this is pretty lame to be asking help for, but I just intended to use the kit the right way. thanks again

one other thing i forgot, the power steering cooler pipe is way different in orientation to the OEM one. One end is facing completely backwards from where it should. Am I just supposed to extend the hose it connects to?

I also searched recently and found nothing. I was trying to figure out how to deal with AC line routing for the condenser.

It is amazing that a $2k+ kit does not come with instructions.

$2k+ kit? Really.

I called mrjohnnys tonight and explained how to install. This kit is so easy to install its a joke, but a little confusing with the extra brackets we send that are not needed.

Wow - cheaper than I expected. I thought they were closer to the Rotary Extreme price.

However, it is pretty clear from even a quick glance at the picture that instructions are sorely needed - extra brackets or no. There are about a bajillion threads on this board from people asking about installing the Koyo in the stock location let alone in a non stock position.

And details on how AC could possibly be accommodated would not hurt at all. The big selling point of the RE or HKS units is their ability to work with AC. If that could be easily be accomplished for $1k less it would be impressive.

Here are a couple pictures of the install. You can see how the radiator mounts to the frame.
For the A/C that is up to the customer. We have installed it once before but its easier if you mount the A/C then have some lines made at an A/C shop. That is one of the reasons we provide extra brackets in the kit.
The intercooler we use is a modified front mount kit so I send all the extra brackets and piping which isnt needed in the install.

That intercooler looks almost as big as the HKS unit. Any idea on dimensions?

That's pretty cool that the drain plug is on the wrong side, like the original Rotary Extreme radiators. Can this be used with the stock undertray?

The intercooler looks like that ebay greddy knockoff FMIC kit modified to v-mount. Correct me if I'm wrong. It's a good way to keep the cost to the customer down.

^^ I believe it is a real greddy unit. I also folled these pics to create my own vmount since I already had the koyo and greddy fmic. I just sliced things up a bit different. Everything fits very well using these two components. This is a great kit for an unbelievable price!!

I understand how you feel. Somethings that you try to install or do seem so hard but others say it's easy, butthen you get it all figured out and it really was that simple you want to kick yourself

do you need to do anything to the fan wiring? does this kit include new hoses for the rad as well? very interested in your kit!

mrjohnnnys
so how do you like the kit? How high does it sit off the ground? i am just worried that if i go v mount that i might have issue with radiator or the fans hitting the road while i drive. Thats the only thing holding me back right now.

it be nice to hear feedback

I look forward to ordering this kit. I've heard great things about it. The price is excellent.... especially since I am still running the stock radiator.

I will be posting some info, and likely a HOW TO when I install mine
