What color was the car painted? It's a nice color. Maybe I'm off, but it looks as if it was re-painted.

Take it off and make aluminum brackets yourself. Then polish those. That is coated metal and will rust if you try to polish it.

Good eye Xstacy. Its actually salsa red, 3000GT red. Pretty trippy when you see it parked next to all the VRs. Very nice paint job.

It's Caracas Red. I had numerous people come up to me asking for the DuPont paint code at the past couple Sevenstocks. I can dig it up if interested. The VR engine bay looks pink in comparison.

Anyways, Apexi Time!

Unbolt and remove the old airbox. You can ditch the right side vent hose. I kept everything for smogging though.

Oooo...

WTF??! Ok, do it the hard way.

Bolt the filters/gaskets to the flanges after deciding which brackets you will use. Two different 10mm length bolts come with the kit depending on brackets used.

Don't forget the CRV hose spacer in the top filter tube, unless you really like cattle noises.

I left this long bracket off. Why? Because again I need to keep the stock airbox support brackets intact for smogging. I bolted the two filters together and used only the L-shaped apron bracket to mount both assembled filters.

Voila! No prob with hood clearance and didn't bend a single filter pleat. The long bracket would need bending for top filter hood clearance anyways. It's rock-solid with the piping/couplers and plenty of IC/pulley clearance.

Need to plug this IC duct hole. CF or aluminum plate with a logo or something.

Thats what I meant caracas red. Looks good. Now the hunnies will be all over your car when you cruise down to the local rice spot. Especially if you pick up one of those huge Apex GT spec catbacks like I had. I thought the airpump was what caused the mooing. Shouldn't the spacer go in the airpump intake tract? My CRV was always vented and my air pump removed their was no mooing.

Look at the install diagram. It shows the "pill" is to go in the CRV hose. Why I have no idea....

Broke out the tin snips, RTV silicone, and got a thin aluminum sheet from the hardware store to patch the IC duct hole.

Looking at the "**** braket" you want to change...

Why do you only have 3 relais on the bracket instead of 4.
I got 4 on mine and I know those are the ones controling fan speed.
My car is a 94' FD if that helpes

nice job toadman! i have those same pipes, but unfortunately for me. i could not get the primary ones to fit on my m2 intake (primary pipe too long, i need to cut about half an inch to an inch off eachside). they are very nice pipes though and i would recomend them.

now its time to go out and buy some mothers polish to make it bling even more!

you shouldn't close that air duct then the engine is only going to suck hot air from the engine bay i would get a flexi alloy pipe they use for air-conditioning pipes and direct the air to the air filter !!!!!!!!!!!

Intake pipe look good, man. When you upgrade the greddy Airnx...Some say it doesn't get enough fresh air but It ran great on my car and the pipes are super easy to polish to get the blingalicious look.

AIRNX POLISHED

That ugly thing: I had mine powder coated with chrome paint...that along with another bracket and my garfinkle brace. Too lazy to take pics now but will take tons when my car is done at Gotham. If you want good powder work done hit up 93BlackFD (Bryan)...He does great work.

It's going to suck hot air anyway. Even with some piping, it won't make much difference. A heat shield would be required in addition to the piping to make it worth doing.
