Rx7 Weird Overheating Problem
I Was Wondering If You Could Help Me Out As I Have A Mazda Rx7 Twin Turbo 1993 Efini. The Car Is Totally Standard And Has A Problem Of Overheating I Think. Whenever Im Driving At Times The Fan From The Radiator Does Not Turn On And Water Leaks From The Overflow. Sometimes The Car Runs Perfect And Does Not Overheat. The Tempurture Guage Stays Normal But The Light Comes On Saying Add Coolant. Do You Know What May Be Wrong With It? Do You Think It May Need A New Thermostat? Where Is The Thermostat Located? Do You Have Any Websites That May Help? Also Do You Think There Might Be Something Wrong With The Fan? I Would Really Appreciate If A Fellow Owner Could Help Me As This Club Really Inspired Me In Buying This Car!

u may have a leak on the line from ur radiator cap to ur overflow tank. i had a leak on that line b4 too and it would spit coolant out cause it uses vacuum to pull water from the overflow tank back into ur radiator wen your car is not hot anymore, therefore it is pulling in air, therefore u may be getting air inside ur radiator and gettin the coolant light.

1. There's no need to Capitalize Each Word, unless you're describing the title of a book or something. How much time did it take you to do that? Did you think it would be easier for people to read?

It will pressurize your cooling system, which will cause the problematic hose to leak while you're looking for it. Replace that hose, burp/bleed the air out of the system well, and hopefully that will be enough to fix it.
3. Since the cooling system has your attention, now would probably be a good time to replace some things: thermostat, coolant hoses to the turbos & heater core, etc. Don't think of it as replacing parts that might not be broken yet, think of it as saving money on an engine rebuild.

Something to remember is that the FD is now 12 years old. Since its intro back in 92, many parts of the car would be showing there age & failing.
Its common for the series-6 to drink water when the engines get to around the 100k KM area as the water seal leak & the engine chews it up. If it gets harder & harder to start each morning while drinking more & more water then chances are you are suffereing from this common FD problem.
Here in Oz, the series-6 (92-95) is simply getting too old for reliable operation. Many here are spending the extra to geta series-8 (99-02) version that is still in good working order.
Just a shame you guys only got the series-6 (92-95)
