rx7 question

i hear that rotary motors are unstable and tend to break down a lot is this true and why is that? how much does it cost to buy a new motor... am asking because my friend wants an rx7 am just curious on the car also...
how much power does the:
n/a
single turbo
twin turbo
put out?
average 1/4 times

It's not that the motors breakdown, they just require a lot of attention. If you take care of your car, it will take care of you... As far as power, 3rd gens were all twin turbos modestly rated at 255hp from the factory. A single turbo would have to be aftermarket and HP numbers would depend on many things such as the turbo and all other mods.

I agree with Damie but to answer some more questions...
There is not an N/A version of the FD
Twin turbo is 255hp stock up to about 380rwhp modded
Single turbo can range from 300rwhp to 900+rwhp
1/4 mile stock is 14 flat or there abouts
New motor is about $2K
Just learn how to take care of it!
