RX7 officially gone

Well, no more RX7 for me. I got me a Soarer GT for the RX7. I'll still lurk around the site and stuff and go to the bbq's if i'm still invited . Here are some pics of my new girlfriend.

Nice car. You've got some scrubbing to do, my friend.

Talk w/ Jim Swantko. He just acquired a SC300/400 as well.

Yes folks, that is a JDM Soarer, RHD, twin-turbo, and everything.

You're gonna let me take it for a drive when I come back to Miami right amigo?

Steering wheel is on the wrong side. Hope you remember which side of the road to drive on. How do you like shifting with your left hand?

Looks nice!!

You mean 280 like the supra in JAPAN

internally the car has the 1JZ engine, so its a 2.5TT. It revs up quite a lot faster than a supra and, according to a friend of mine who had a stock tubo supra, the Soarer FEELS a little quicker than the supra. It comes stock with ceramic BB turbos in non-sequential form. This model that i got also has a Torsen Limited slip as factory (most don't).

Unfortunately it's a Automatic, but the 6sp should plop right in. I have driven a Stick shift Skyline R32 (my friend has one) and the shift is kinda funky, but not hard at all to get used to.

One other thing... the Radio freq in japan is from 75 - 90mhz... so i only get ONE STATION

its legal to drive, i have the florida DMV title for it and registered the tag to it also.

It's not a sleeper unfortunately cuz the steering wheel is on wrong side. But you'd be surprised how many people don't really notice that...

Yeah, but does it really have only 280? I thought that 280 limit was bunk.

why not just get a Supra? [/B][/QUOTE]

Because there are lots of Supra's. It's way cool to have a car that nobody else has, or knows about.

On of the reasons I love my FD is that people don't know what it is. The prior owner of my car worked for Nike. He left a small parking sticker on the windshield that has a nike swoosh. When people ask me what kind of car it is, I point to the swoosh, and tell them that it is a Nike!

Well, about the Cosmo...
My friend imported one and sold it also.
About the engine...
It spools quicker than a supra and can put out good HP numbers, but it has noticeably less torque because the rods are shorter. This car is not a performance monster, but it aint no slouch either. i believe stock this car will do a high 14 1/4 mile.

I wonder why they never offered the TT option over here?

People in the US who don't know what it is are dorks. The SC300/SC400 have been over here for like 8 years or so.

Sweet! I just picked up a one owner SC400 as a daily driver. 74k miles and it's smoother than any other car I've EVER driven by far!

I'm waiting on some decent wheels to be delivered a (as well as my silver emblems to replace that ghetto gold crap).... so I slapped the Supra wheels on to pimp a bit. (Yes I know it needs to be lowered and it will).

Take a look at how an 18x11.0 rear wheel looks on the SC!

There is a LOT of Supra resemblence for sure. It's a VERY stiff body structure and super comfy on the highway. The V8 is simply amazing... so damn smooth and revs faster than I ever imagined. (just needs that Vortech blower on it!)

Enjoy!
