Make sure the contacts on the battery are clean (should be...if it is new). Also, make sure the contacts on the cables are clean.
If all else fails, try to push start it...you know pop the clutch.
It is also possible that the auto parts store gave you a battery that sat on the shelf too long....
It also could be the starter...

Patrick

Britney is looking topless in a couple of those pictures. I wonder how old those are? Her body is looking quite loose ... either she was on vacation and runs crash diets or those are somewhat old.
And TV Guide is $1.99 now?! I remember when it was 79 cents!! And I'm only 22!

I thought the Brit pics were less interesting than the RX-7 pics. Anyway, I couldn't make much of the pics other than the car looks like it was in awful shape. No offense Freeze, but that thing is FILTHY and appears to have been wrecked up front. That's probably an indication that the car was poorly treated.
Try to isolate the origin of the "click" sound. It could be a relay or starter, or a bad battery as mentioned earlier. The location may give a clue to the problem. I'm not good at troubleshooting electrical problems, especially in the mass of wiring that exists in the 3rd Gen. It looks like anything could have happened to this car. The collision could have damaged the wiring and/or something in the transmission. Is there any indication of flood damage?
Did you buy this thing without going to inspect it in person?
