The idea of a club in the bay area is cool but the club fee they are asking is discouraging. I'm just interested in meeting new people who have a common interest as me.

Yeah, I hear you about the fee (or dues or whatever they are). It doesn't seem like the bay area owners are as active as some other areas either. I moved up here from So Cal, and I've got to say that those guys really seem to have something cool going as far as the club is concerned. I was just barely discovering the So Cal club when I got a new job and moved up to NorCal.
Bummer...now I spend so much time at work, I don't have time to do club stuff if I wanted.

why are you guys bitching about 15-20 bucks or whatever it is..damn are you that broke... Hell I just gave 10X that to the relief fund...
Beside if you go to some events you would realize that some are heavily subsidized and this is where fees go. I admit I am not very active in the bay area club...but what 20 bucks
Batman just had a BBQ in the bay area...it was non-club related...I remember a cool lunch a bunch of guys had way back and like 15+ FD's showed..it was cool.

i think the bay area club would be HUGE if they didn't have a fee. not saying they shouldn't have a fee, but thats the reason most people i know don't even bother to look twice at the bay area rx7 club. a couple years back, there were more FD's in our group then what was present in the rx7 club, so i didn't even consider a pay group. i've known/met A LOT of rx7 owners and i've only possibly encountered a rx7 club member at one gathering. that person would be johnny, if i'm correct in assuming i met him at a dinner at hoolihan's in redwood city.

I've looked at their webpage a few times but it doesn't seem like they are that active in getting new members. They should hold some kind of free event to attract new members...like a bbq.
