what's a good rx7 car cover and where can i purchase one? i need one that can handle all weather.

Some of it depends on your mods when looking for a cover. I have a stock cover (Mazda) which is made out of very good material. It protects against most weather conditions (snow today for instance). I have not tried it against rain yet, but I am sure it is pretty good. The only problem is that is what made for an FD w/o a wing, will fit one with the stock R1 wing, but I have the RB Type II wing which is rather large so it leaves some of the back exposed. But I like the cover overall.
It came with the car or else I would tell you where to buy them without paying high (possibly) dealer costs.

If you need a great RX cover check out www.covercraft.com. The original mazda covers caused corrosion problems in the engine bay (at least downsouth) because they did not breath. The "weathershield" product might suite your fancy and they have the RX template with wing. If the "weathershield" product does not fit your needs they carry numerous other products.

My father is the proprietor of a canvas shop, so in addition to buying the car he also personally made a cover for it that would fit the car's big *** spoiler. Fits P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y. The material for the cover is this sort of breathable fabric that's some sort of synthetic wool on the bottom and water repellant fabric on the top. My parents treat me well . I owe them ******* big time. YOU MUST SEE IT!!! Unfortunately,I didn't bring my digital camera home with me for Winter break, and thus took no pictures . If I go home for spring break I will surely bring the camera. Hey, If I took some pictures of what's under the hood, can you tell me what's been done to it? Holy ****, do you ever get that feeling you are gonna be a newbie forever ?

I got a California Car Covers cover for Christmas and it fits like a glove. You can see what they have at www.calcarcover.com . They will let you customize it to whatever bodykit, spoiler, mirrors, etc. All you have to do is to tell them. If you choose to you can have them put your name or the name of your car on the cover.

I got the Noah cover and I am very pleased with it so far. It has been through snow and a lot of rain so far and not a drop of water has ended up on the car. I even had them make a little cut out for my exhaust so that I could put the cover on when the tip is hot so that it wouldn't melt it. Wow I think I should go into sales for them. It prevents freezer burn too! I have a cover, but its too much of a pain to put it off and on. It nice, but I have a car port so I don't realy give two $hits what the weather is like. Yeah its nice to keep the dust off, but I rather keep an eye on the car its self. Hard to do with the cover on. Plus I'm too woried that one of the punks around here is going to walk off with it. Anyone know where to find car cover locks? Any recomendations? For the most part it stays clean this way, and like someone said you won't have to worry about moisture getting traped inside. Now the neighbors cat that keeps on freaking muddy prints all over it is another story.

I agree with SpeedracerRX7. I use a California Car Cover too. I really like mine. These car covers work really well. I would suggest that you call them to order though. That way you can talk to them about their different types of covers and you can select the cover that you need depending on the type of weather you usually have. I think that I have a "Noah" type cover.

You also need to tell them if you have a front or rear spoiler (like an R-1). It is VERY important. When you get the cover it won't fit perfectly at first (your front spoiler might not be completely covered), but it will slowly stretch and it will fit like a glove after a little while. I hope that helps.

Fughedaboudit the car cover lock, instead, spray paint your license plate number on all four sides with some good 'ol bright yellow Krylon (it dries REAL fast). You can buy carboard templates and tape them together at any stationary store. Mask the area immediatley around the templates to prevent overspray. Just don't spray it while on the car! It CAN bleed through the cover. You can also put some sort of cryptic message on it like "If you see this cover on any car except a (red,yellow, blue) RX-7 it was stolen!" I think the biggest advantage to keeping it covered is to NOT attract attention to it. That's why mine is grey.
