Rx7 1993 R1 15,000 for sale $7500???????

Hi everyone,

I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. I have been looking for a nice Fd for a while now and came across this add on Craigslist.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/650677079.html

My gut instinct is that I smell a rat. But I want your guys opinion. Here is our email correspondence thusfar.

Hi,

I am interested in your car and I have a few questions. I am a serious buyer and will not waste your time. I have cash in hand ready for purchase.

Any more pictures?
Title in hand?
Clean title?
Any accidents or body work?
Any maintenance documentation?
What recent maintenance has been performed?
Do you have any pictures of the driver side seat bolster?
Will you allow a pre purchase inspection?
Do you have owners manual?
Have you ever taken the car to the track?

Thank you for your consideration,
Chris

Hello,

I will make this deal only trough eBay Motors Vehicle Purchase Program because
I am away with my job here in Canada. Before leaving I had prearranged shipping with eBay and DAS so my presence isn't necessary. The car is in a warehouse of DAS, ready for delivery. In exchange I will offer a 5 days period of testing the car from the moment you receive it from the shipping company. If you want to make this deal I will need the following details from you:

full name and address
shipping address
phone #

After I will have all this details I will forward them to eBay and I will proceed the order. eBay will contact you with all the details that you need to complete this deal and also to see that I am covered by them. I wait your email with the requested details.
Thank you,

Arrgh! The search continues

The posting has already been removed. Someone either pointed it out to them or they caught it.

Yeah, I've shipped via DAS myself and the seller does not organize ANYTHING. It is the buyers responsibility to set everything up for receiving the car and the buyer pays for it up front. I'm sure DAS does have something set up to hold onto a car for people but it would just be a matter of you saying you bought the car, and them confirming it with the owner.

as already stated, the ad was already flagged for removal, obvious scam.
