rx6, t04r, or GT35/40 ?

Which of these turbos would best fit an FD that would mostly drag, some road race/ drifting, and daily driving? I would like one that has very little turbo lag and can hang at high end boost. Which turbo do you guys recommend for me?
thanks
kevin

If you want little lag, then the rx6 is going to be the best one for the job. It doen't have the max output like the others, but I hear it does wonders. When the time comes I'll probably either get that or a TO4-E.

right! I would go with the gt3540 though. Sounds from your description that it might be the best.

id go gt3540 Its a Dual Ball bearing setup, I think it spools up about the same or faster than the RX6 and has better top end.

I would call around to a few places that rebuild turbos and find out what can and can't be done, availability of parts, and pricing. Out of the three, the T04S can be rebuilt almost anywhere whereas the other two are more limited in options. The GT stuff is going to be fairly expensive. If it's for a daily driven car, I'd get the T04S hands down.

Anyone considering a GReddy kit, think twice. Without spending big bucks, it's almost impossible to get parts for Mitsubishi turbos. Most turbo companies (such as Turbonetics and Innovative) commented that the Mitsu/GReddy stuff was junk. I currently have a T78 which is toast (owner sold it to me in this condition) and I'm having one heck of a time finding someone who can fix it for a reasonable price.

I think the RX6 will be short a bit of high end.

Now the GT35/40 on the other hand:
Toy put down 400rwhp+ on his stock motor @ 15.5psi with the GT35/40,
Ihor but down 430ish rwhp @ 15psi with the GT35/40 and large ported motor.

I'll be dynoing next weekend my GT35/40 setup @ 16.5psi maybe a little higher... Will post the results.

Spool up on the GT35/40 is as quick if not quicker than the stock twins from a punch anything > 4k.

I can't speak for the to4 series, have never been in a to4x equipted car.

T78 will definately be a bit laggier than any of the others, but will have more up top.

Now I know why Dave at KD wants me to get the GT35/40. I'm interested to see how you guys do with that turbo (reliability, power output, longevity). It seems this one may be the one for me, but.....
Has anyone passed emmissions with the GT35/40?

That's what I will be going to...T-04S on the street is what I will be doing. 400 rwhp~ at 14 psi....no problems there. PLUS rebuilds will cost ~$100 or so from turbonetics. I won't have to worry about replacing EVERYTHING like BB turbo's(GT35/40)....and I can find parts unlike the Mitsu turbine's.

when you say slightly modded are you referring to a BPU Supra or something more than that?
An FD with any of those turbo kits won't have any problems taking down a BPU Supra.
I'd get the GT35/40 kit, spools like a madman and puts down good HP numbers.
