How much of a pain in the *** was the install? Weight difference between FD and rx8 seats?

i didnt actually scale them but i will say this. these are not a performance mod. they are heavier but probaly bececause of the way i chose to install them.

i have more pics but i need to scale them down to post them. basically i have the fd seat rails attached to the 8 seat rails. each seat has 4 of 5 bolts holding them to the chasiss

yes although your limited to how far back the seat will go. im 5'8 and it fits me fine.

I love the seats in an FD, i couldnt imagine swapping them out for a heavier seat....
But if i was gonna do this swap, i think i would opt for some two tone leather seats.

i just love the rotor shape in the 8's, i cant imagine them weighing MUCH more, i guess if youre hardcore about weight though..

i got mine off ebay $400

yea, like i said, its not a performance mod by any means, the comfort factor was 10x more important to me in addition to the fact my seats were a nasty tan leather.

i also look at it this way...for every 100lbs i add i'll add .1 in the quater mile....i really doubt i added more than 25lbs to the car so im not really concered about that .025 seconds...
