RX-7 Questions

Hi, Just wondering what the stock power of a FD is
one with twin turbo ?
and one all motor?
is it more than 200HP?

FDs were only available with one engine, the twin turbo 13B-REW. It makes 255 HP and 217 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel.

To make a guess about the non-turbo power, you can take the fraction of absolute intake pressure, 14.7 / (10 + 14.7) and multiply it by the turbo HP (255) to get 152 HP. There is nothing special about one atmosphere (well, maybe exhaust backpressure), the power you get scales with the absolute intake pressure.

and to think the rx8 has 250 horses without a turbo.

Yea, and so do Corvettes, Mustangs, etc...

Personally, I prefer turbos than N/A's.. Just a different kind of power, and much easier to mod.

I agree however with the corvettes, mustangs, etc. you can supercharge them rather easily....
I still love the turbo power though
