Rx-7 R1

I have been searching around abour r1's and the only difference i have found was suspenion, lip, and spolier. Is much better to get a r1 rather than the base or touring versions.

You mean R1's? If so it also has no rear wiper, different seats, extra oil cooler. Other minor things.

Yes, by 500 lbs.

You really need to spend some time searching...there are literally hundreds of thousands of posts concerning your questions that have been answered in gory detail during the last 10 years.

Unfortunately you'll actually have to READ and STUDY this information. It will not come to you by osmosis or divine intervention.

IMO, it's not worth looking for a particular color or model of FD. Get one in good condition, and you'll be happier. It is fairly easy to "convert" any one model to the next, because all the motors, trannys, etc are all the same. Only differences are those already listed, which can be added or subtracted easily.

95's any package DOES NOT have a rear wiper. I think the second oil cooler is the best benifit to the R's R-1 and 2's do not come with sunroofs either which is good if you want to buy a rollcage. No one makes a cage for a sunroof model. R's also only come in cloth which is up to your personal prefferances

I personally like the R1s and think they're worth the extra cash/searching. That's just my opinion tho. I guess I just have expensive tastes, plus I like rare cars.

Some other notable differences are the front strut bar, no cruis control, no sunroof, R1 exclusive suede seats, extra oil cooler.

It's actually the reverse due to production numbers....2100 R1s vs ~450 R2s.

Right, but what I meant was that all that (seats, strut bar, etc) can be added later. The more important thing is a working FD, the rest can be converted.

Even though there were less R2s, many people perfered the R1 because of the stiffer suspenion. Thats why some price the R1 over the R2 and not by the numbers made.

Not every car is identical in condition. It's all about condition and 94's generally pull a higher price than a 93. Yes 93 has a slight stiffer suspension but who leaves an RX7 stock anyways.

The R1 is the only way to go if you are tall, because of the lack of a moonroof and added headroom. I can't sit up in one with a moonroof so I got the R1. Otherwise get the car that is in the best shape and do what ever mods you wish for your preference.

True, but some people like having a more rare car
