RX-7 on long road trips?
I'm wanting to get an RX-7 or a Supra, but in about 10 months or so I'm gonna have to make some long road trips...they wont be too often, but will be about 900 miles each, so I was wonderin how an RX-7 could handle that...and although this isn't a Supra forum, what about one of those...I need a car that wont die with the trips.

thats not paint....
I drove about 900 miles to get my REX back to my house from the previous owner. It held up great, hurt my back after sitting in it for 11 hours or so. I also just drove down to visit a friend, took it on about a 500 mile trip, no problems. It is a lot of fun on a trip, the roads are not so boring anymore. When you start to feel bored just push the pedal down a little further The only thing is when something does happen.... it would be best to be around home. If you just take care of the car you shouldn't have much of a problem.

I drove mine back home from St. Louis when i bought mine. About 900 miles. The drive was fine and the car ran great except for one thing, I couldn't run with the A/C on during the day cause it was hotter than hell goign through Kansas in July. With the A/C on the temps would get a bit high. But other than that it was fine.

Cannonball Run
How's Miami to Seattle sound? I did it in a '95 base model less that 2 months ago. Drove about 11 hours a day.
Changed the oil once before leaving and twice during the trip. Here's the cool part...I averaged 21 mpg! I didnt believe it at first, but running the numbers after every tankful I always came up with 20-21mpg.
I think the total milage was like 4200 or something.. I'd have to look at my trip log.
Have a safe trip!

between 300 and 700 miles 3 to 4 times per year, over 4 years, and have had no problems. Ride comfort will be based on your wheel/tire setup. I have stock wheel/tire sizes, and can't really complain about the ride quality.
