Are rx-7/8's reliable?

after seeing the rx-8 in xmen i had to get some info on it. it looks like such a badass car, and quick too. so my question is are the rx-7's reliable, and do u think the rx-8s will be too? are they like hondas/acuras in the sense that if properly maintained they can take 200,000miles or more? also, wut is a rotary motor? on mazdas website they were talking about how they were the first to use it but i still dont know what it is and what the advantages are. thanks.

i think the rx8 is more reliable than the 7... Its not proven yet but N/A motor like the 1st gen and 2nd gen are more reliable, assuming it is well taken care! FD3S or 3 generation Rx7 have Sequential Twin Turbo which produce a tremendous amount of heat compare to N/A engine. Do browse the net to find out more about a Rotary engine, there are tons of them. You never know, you might get hooked on the rotary engine... it can be very addictive...

Wanna know something really weird, 90% of the fc's and SA22's (n/a ones) I have seen have on average have less miles then most FD's I have seen... and this is in Hawaii where you can drive around the island in about 2-3 hours doing speed limit!
