My car backfires practically every time I downshift after revving over 4.5-5k with a loud pop from the exhaust. It also ...like, makes putt putt sounds in idle in quick succession. Furthermore, I'm curious why my engine hasnt exploded from boosting 13psi on stock turbos/injectors/ecu. I'm going to go read over the 100 papers of this guys history again and see if I missed something ... Is it possible this guy messed around with the stock ECU?

The wires are a little out of place so I know he was looking at it at some point.

he= original owner, previous owner before me

Hehe.. I know that boosting like that on the stock injectors/pump/engine is NOT good and have taken my lack of accidents regarding the high boost as a blessing. The car isn't being driven again until I get that new ECU in it.

if you're running 13psi on a stock ecu then you're probably not running rich. getting the ecu remapped/reprogrammed is the only way it will be modified. i doubt the previous owner did it himself. the only US companies i know that modify ecu's are M2 and Pettit.

seems like you picked the wrong title for this post
