Runs for 5 seconds then stalls?

ive been pretty pissed with my FD lately.. it will start but only idle for about 5 seconds and backfire alot... before it dies it almost sounds like its drowning (not sure how to explain that one)...

i checked my coils and harness, all in good shape. i even replaced all the coils. the plug wires are pretty beat up though. ill have to replace them as soon as i can.

so here is what i have checked so far.

im getting 12v to all coils and have almost zero resistance in the harness. the insulation was cracked at the plugs so i depined it and put some shrink tube over it.. then rewraped the whole thing in heat tape and electrical tape. the plug wires, according to the FSM, should have about 16000ohms per meter. so thats about 6000ohms in each wire.. mine read roughly 2200ohms.. just a little off but it has ran with the wires reading that before (stock NGK wires). also i replaced all the plugs with BUR7eqp because when its really cold and at high altitude it gets pretty damn hard to start. im running low boost (not by choice) at about 4psi so i dont need to worry about knock so much. im getting spark on all plugs.. i am getting a weaker spark on the leading wires but that was before i replaced the coils. i havent checked that since

so for ignition i have narrowed it down to plug wires that could be bad

as far as fuel goes i thought the lines had ice in them or something because it got really cold the night before it wouldnt start. but i heated it up and parked it in a heated garage for 3 days.. i loosened up the banjo bolt on the sec. rail and primed the FP... fuel shot everywhere. so i have pressure. one thing i noticed is the leading plugs stay clean but the trailing plugs fill up with fuel. i have a strong spark on the trails so i know they were firing at one point. so its flooding ALOT...

i went to start it after changing coils and it let out a HUGE backfire, then ran.. then died shortly after. when i crank it the thing sounds like it wants to start but the more i crank it the less it fires. and when you stop cranking it will backfire.. also i noticed that after it ran for a sec there was smoke coming out my exhaust that smelled like fuel

i have narrowed it down to a FUBARed injector (probably primarys), or a bad FPR (not sure how that would fit)

i havent been able to check the compression because im a little short handed at the moment but i was able to pull one plug and see if i get 3 even "wooosh"es.. and i did on both rotors so its not a stuck seal

MODS: full non sequential, 3 inch catless exhaust and a PFC

any ideas on what this could be i would appreciate it if you gave me some ideas (not 300 people shouting BLOWN ENGINE) this is supposed to be my daily driver so i need to get this fixed ASAP

You need to check your fuel pressure. It is a simple test. A bad FPR can cause bad running conditions at all rpm's even in piston engines. Perform the test and lets rule that out first.

get new plugs. I had the same issue last spring. I put new plugs in and it fired right off.

ok i pulled out the injectors and primed the pump none of them leaked a drop. i also noticed that my fuel pump is alot louder than i remember it was a few days ago. maybe its because i was outside last time...

ill have to jump the injectors and see if they open and close properly then im back to hunting down a electrical problem

okay, in case any of you were wondering i got this fixed last night lol

in total
i replaced the coils (showed no improvement over old coils)
replaced plugs (still didnt fire)
replaced plug wires
replaced the battery terminals
added new grounding points (similar to the hyper grounding system)
fixed a broken injector connector
(the last 4 things i did at once, so im not sure what fixed the spark issue)

anyway, the fd runs better than it did, it still starts on one rotor though, ill have to take a video of a cold start and a warm start to compare it to my other startup videos before i did this

here is a video i took in october (it stopped running in January i think)

Just get a quickie compression test done to either rule out a damaged engine or confirm it. If you borrow a piston compression tester and a buddy, it shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes.

i have a compression tester, if i can recruit one of my buddys then i should be able to test it.
