Running to rich..need help

I have an FD with the following mods, xs power intercooler, v-mount electric fan set-up, BOV, manual boost controller and a poor man's non-sequential set-up. All this has been done by the previous owner. It ran great but now it stalls and flouds itself just sitting overnight.

It's and auto also. So i was driving normal and came off the highway and sort off floored it. I stopped at the stop light and it drop in rpm and stalled. It started right up after but ran like crap and shooting black smoke. I made it to work, which is just up the street and looking at my gas guage i could see it moving.

Almost 1/4 tank in maybe 15 blocks it went through. I parked it at work and tried to start it at lunch break and it was flouded. The next day i pushed it into work, removed the plugs, disconnected the coils and cranked it over. I put everything back together and it still wouldn't start. I held my foot to the floor and it started after a few cranks. It's now running like crap and dies out when you put it into drive. Or any under load really.

So i cannot drive it like this and let it sit at work for three days. I tried to start it again yesterday and it was flouded again. I cannot smell fuel. I looked for vacuum leaks or maybe my MAP sensor is screwed up but it's right within spec.

sorry for the long story but it's really hard to find good info without someone telling you it's a rotary and you blew it up. I may have but i thinks it's a shitty injector stuck open. What do you guys think? What would i check first?

I think you are probably exagerating seeing the gas guage moving. It could be a stuck injector but I would test the primary coil first.

the fact that its an auto has nothing to do with your problem! it could be a spark issue as stated above. I would tow it to a rotary shop and get it fixed asap. a fuel smell is no joke in a rotary.

My car is not leaking fuel or smelling of fuel. I never though about testing the coils. I'll check it out tomorrow and see what i get. A bad coil will cause a hard start and unburned fuel to flood and run like ****. Thanks man.

Two big things to check are to make sure the vacuum line to the MAP sensor on the firewall didn't come off. When it does, the car runs TERRIBLE.

If that's fine, next step is a compression test to make sure the motor is happy. If that's the case, proceed with further troubleshooting.

My bet is MAP sensor vacuum hose, though.

That was the first thing i checked. And of coarse it was plugged in and the vacuum hose connected. It just seems odd that my car is running awesome, come off the highway and give it some gas and it dies and hasen't run the same since.

I gotta sort this situation out this weekend. I'll do a compression test and test my coils.

I've got the same kind of gas guzzling going on

and the car won't start. Ran fine for the first few days after I got it running again.(3 years sat up). It smells very rich, gasy, and runs like it's rich. Now it won't start at all. It seems to fire every once in awhile, but will not start. I do know that the car has not had wiring harness and the like replaced/jacked with.
I replaced the plugs, cap, rotor and wires. Still nothing. What should I look at next?
