Running only coolant??

I had another radiator hose blow off last week so I gave the car to a mechanic/ junkyard so that I could knock off two birds with one stone. First and foremost they completed my interior (it was missing ALOT of pieces mainly in the trunk) and second they fixed the broken hose. They went ahead and filled the system complete with coolant and coolant only. I was just wondering is this ok?? I actually seem to be getting lower tempetuare and alot better mileage.

no, it's not okay, it is too corrosive, it will eat your aluminum and gunk up your hoses....same deal with all water, it's not healthy because it won't lubricate your seals

if you want, try researching evans coolant, that you can run 100% pure...

Coolant also absorbs heat far poorer than water. Unless it gets below 0F where you live, you should be running 25/75 coolant/water ratio.
