run too lean?

hi
i just replaced my vacume hoses (and i forgot to put the plug back in the TPS), before i plugged it back in i drove it and had trouble boosting over 5000 rpm and it was shuddering when over 5000rpm.
It was idleing very roughly and has a bit of a wistle type noise in the UIM.

Once i pluged the TPS back in, the car boosts well but idles very badly abd still has a wistle sound in the UIM that goes on and off in a constant action.

have i leaned out my car?
what are the effects of leaning your car out?

If denotation is the result, does this mean i broken some internals?

oh yer, i did the CEL and the codes for the full range and narrow range throtle sensor came up, once i cleared them they didnt come back.

please help thanks clint

Check your MAP sensor. Rough idle is a sign of running rich, not lean.

If the car was lean you would hear the engine note drop, if rich it would just burble and miss a lot.

If it starts and runs fine now then i would relax and not worry.

Sounds rich as a pig to me.

Do you have a power fc ?

If not you could check the voltage coming out of it at idle.

I think it should be about 1.3 - 1.5 Volts but dont quote me on this.

I would get recheck all of your hose connections, and sounds like you have a vacuum/pressure leak.
