Rough idle after installing IAT
I just replaced my intake air thermosensor because i got a cel, but now my car has a rough idle. There is one electrical plug that i noticed was unplugged infront of the intake manifold but i didn't see anywhere for it to be plugged into. I noticed this as I was taking it apart so I figured it had been unplugged there to begin with. The plug is blue and sits right under the little black plastic box that is infront of the manifold. There are also two green electrical plugs to the left of it, but they are in their sockets and I don't see anywhere for my third blue one to go. My idle is rough, but it holds a steady rpm. Anybody have any idea what it could be?

I unplugged the negative terminal on the battery. I'm pretty sure I read that you were supposed to do this somewhere. Is there something I'm missing?
The car is also smoking now as well.

I reset the ecu, and everything looks to be hooked up correctly from what I can see. I'm getting about 9 in. hg of vacuum, smoke out the tail pipe, afr gauge is showing lean conditions, but it smells like gas, gas and more gas.

Sounds like you have something not connected. Check both ends of the MAP sensor vacuum line (to the sensor and to the UIM). Also make sure the connections for the ISC and the TPS are both on good.
Also, did you try pulling codes to see if there are any stored? Not all codes make the light pop on.

I'm going back in there tomorrow after work and tearing it back down and double checking everything. Last night I also knocked a small 10 mm wrench off the UIM and it fell down into the engine. It didn't fall all the way through to the floor and I tried to fish it out of there today, but now it's back in there where I can't even see it. It is sitting somewhere on the passenger side of the engine, above the exhaust manifold. I'm gonna try to get to it from underneath the car tomorrow. It should make for another interesting evening.
I might also try to take some pictures tomorrow. Maybe someone else will notice something I'm overlooking.

In case you don't know, the MAP sensor is labeled "Boost Sensor." It's located next to the brake booster against the firewall. Make sure the hose is connected on both ends of the MAP sensor.

The smoke you see may be coolant you spilled when taking off the throttle body coolant lines. Mine spilled on to the top of the engine and smoked a little after first driving it.

I got the problem fixed somewhat. One end of the map sensor wasn't on all the way. The idle has smoothed out a lot, and the smoking has stopped. I'm getting about 16/17 in. hg vacuum and my idle is staying around 1000 rpm. It is still a little lumpy and I can hear some sort of vacuum leak coming from under the UIM. I'm going to try to repeat the whole process tonight and ensure all of my connections are good.
