Just wondering if anyone knew what could be the problem my fd runs but with a really rough idle. Idles enough to stay on but eventually shuts off when I get to the stoplight. Also smokes up a good bit Not sure what it could be. When you give it to much gas it hesitates at times. I’ve changed the plugs and wires. Does anyone know what could be going on?

 

Before you go too far down a rabbit hole, do a compression test. If you are certain the engine is solid we can go forward with troubleshooting.

How long have you had this car? Was there ever a compression test done on it before you bought it?

 

Yes the compression is good. The car runs pretty good when your driving it’s mostly once I get to a light. If you gradually give it gas it’s fine but if you give it to much gas at once it hesitates a bit.

 

It ended up being the vacuum line for the map sensor but I appreciate you guys helping out thank you
