Rotor housings - OMP injector question

Guys, my old rotor housings have a different shaped OMP opening to my new one.

IS this going to work okay with my old OMP injectors?

Old:

New:

Thanks in advance

p.s there are also some small rubber rings in the box for the rotor housings, looks about the size to fit in the OMP holes. What are these for?

Heya,

The old OMP injectors will work, although they have some newer injectors that they've been selling.

The o-ring goes in first. There's a metal washer that is molded into the o-ring; that goes to the engine side.

Otherwise it's the same installation.

You should be replacing the OMP injectors on a rebuild anyway! They are not that expensive....probably about $32 each or so from Malloy Mazda.

Yep, one of my new rotor housings had the old one and the other had the new one.

On the new style, there's no way to unscrew it, so I called Mazda Competition to confirm compatibility. I installed them both with the o-rings.

I used the o-ring in both housings; I found that in the old style I had to add another washer to the bottom of the injector to raise it enough so it would tighten down correctly.

I also used new OMP injectors. You definitely should get new ones.

pre-mix really is the best solution, 4 stroke oil is not designed to burn

I'm plugging my OMP and going with Idemitsu Rotary pre-mix
