There are 2 others I can speak of locally in my area that have not experienced any issues either....we all purchased them within a week of each other...

One (papsmagu) is at 24 lbs of boost, running cosistant 10 sec 1/4 mile times and the other ( jm93rx7) just got dynoed last week and put down 502HP @ 20 lbs of boost.. our tuner never mentioned any boost lost or vacum leak during the hour session..
Yea I'm not surprised. I'm guessing if they fail, they will fail big. It seems like 20+ psi isn't a big deal for the TBs, or rather it shouldn't be. I'll be purchasing one as soon as I see support for other people who have bad TBs. I like how in the 12 second mark your car stands at attention like an inappropriate boner haaaa.

They all leak. It's just a matter of how much. You're not alone. I'll pick one up as well and share in the misery.

I already mentioned mine leaks but I didn't notice any ill effects. For the hell of it I was just testing for leaks and couldn't build up more than a couple psi without the air rushing out of the TB. Now my car boosts to 17psi but it makes me wonder does the turbo have to work harder than necessary because of the leak?

Yea I believe that's how it works. No ideas on why your car suddenly can boost now?

Luis,
Everyone should come over to Penguino Racing and check their TB with your tester... That would calm everyone down...

Pretty common with some carburators from brand to brand over the years. Ive seen company's offer a solution for that and its a different bushing with different alloys that last alot longer. At some point leaking is inevitable.

hate to say it but everything that seems to come from rotary works is junk. My vmount I got from them was a giant waste of money.

I'm happy with the throttle body. While it does leak I can't notice any ill effects and it is dangerous sexy to boot

I think pretty much all throttle body will leak, problem is how much is it leaking. I had a 80mm TB on my old FC and I did a leak test on it and you could hear how much air was leaking from like 20 feet away, i then replaced it with a Wilson Manifold 80mm TB and it still had a very very small leak.

I like their Vmount... Has been working well for me. I had to buy my own bolts and make 4 brackets but I guess thats what you have to do for a 900$ Vmount system.

Lets not make this into another bash all Rotary Works products thread. A lot of us already have this throttle body and there seems to be interest in fixing its flaw.

I am still running the throttle body and will be keeping it on for DGRR. My car still boosts to 25psi easily and makes good power so I'm not sure how the leak is affecting performance. I can hear the boost leak loud and clear coming from the TB over the sound of my air compressor though.

I am interested to hear if the Florida guys are having leaks at all.

+1
I'm keeping mine but I'd love to find a solution to the leak.
