My car will be on the Dyno in two weeks with this throttle body. Unless I run into some issues between now and then I should have some numbers.

TPS is a direct bolt on. Throttle cable support is not. I have seen people motify their stock support and some others make a custom piece. i made a custom support not all that difficult.

By my calculations this TB has 3.5cm^2 more throttle area than the stock unit. But, it could flow a lot better if they didn't do such an incredibly shitty job with the beveling. You could get marked improvements with a dremel and some time.

I laugh hard every time I look at the awful cnc port work on these things.

The big bore throttle bodies that Japan2LA offers are a 1cm^2 improvement in throttle surface over the RW unit, and probably flow even better than that due to someone actually taking the time to do it right and correct. That's where my money is headed.

Air does funny stuff under pressure, but I would love to see a baseline comparison. I'm a little skepticle of a 10whp gain on a stock motor. Seems like the LIM and the ports themselve are a much bigger bottleneck. The proof is in the results though.

Seems a little harsh there... Did you have a bad experience with Rotary-works or something? just out of curiosity... thats all..

Ah I see. I forgot why I didn't buy this when it first came out and now I remember..people said the casting was wrong and actually needed to be altered when you get it to make it fit.

Think they need to do more r&d to small engine accessories like this. I doubt you'll get 10-15rwhp from this though. Maybe 7rwhp at best.

I'm furious with anyone possessing the talent to create the throttle body, and lacking the commitment to port it correctly. Also, they've largely abandoned their v-mount customers with no support or instructions AFAIK.

The juxtaposition of parts with promise and a **** poor company culture sends me into a conniption.

So it works???
Dyno charts??
My concern is that the distribution between the secondary ports and the primaries is not as good as the standard TB so probably, even when is bigger it can perform worst than the OEM
So we need some dyno charts!!!

bigger is not better, 90mm is more than enough. i'd like to see before and after results also. i'd also bet there is no more than a 10hp gain on moderately modified engines with a noticable shift from low end response due to the massive air dump.

getting a little tired of seeing people build dyno queens because they can't really tune their engines to get all around gains.

Thanks
Thats what i mean!!!!

So it works in the standard must work in a tunned one!

Do you have some dyno chart of a single turbo?

Nice video , but the 20B have a completely different intake manifold , and i can bet that the 90mm TB work excellent on it!!

my concern is that the secondaries ports take more air with the standard or the RW?

Question 90mm RE TB on a stock FD

Hey guys, My FD engine is stock but with RE Amemiya Intake, HKS Exhaust, REDOM ECU.

So will this RW 90MM Throttle Body work fine for me? I mean, does my FD have to be a Drag car to install this? I just need it for Street use.

I contacted RW and what an answer they gave me... ... ... aaaand the answer I got from one of their representatives was "Not Sure!" looool!

So Better ask the one who tried than asking the doctor.

What do ya guys think?
