Roof Curves...

I see a small hint of a roof curve like a bubble above each seat, like the roof of a viper but not as extreme.

Is this common to all FD's? Does anyone have a good shot of this on an FD with a sunroof?

That's the way the roof was designed. I call it the double bubble.

The double bubble is there for aerodynamics.

Creates just a tad bit more space for a helmet as well.

my friend pointed me out to it on FDs.. he said it looks like a butt.

I was told once by I don't remember who, that this was an area of drag limitation and as the result of a wind tunnel test, they put this there to reduce the drag...maybe someone can confirm...

It has a double bubble because it has two rotors. Read the last paragraph.

the sun roof'd 7's have it...but it's a little more hidden...most think its a dent

Always thought it was for aerodynamics and to help when you're possible wearing a helmet.
