That's a good idea...Do you need the datalogit to do that or just through the commander?

You can do it with the Commander, you are just lowering the rev limit, which is at 8100 rpm by default.

Yep yep. It's just like I said (IIRC): Settings, then go to "Rev Limiter" and move it down until it goes to your desired limit (2K or so should be fine...enough to drive it around the lot if they need to move it, but not enough to spool the turbos )
