My car was rhd but due to the laws of my country, it was ilegal to drive it. So i converted it to lhd by some peruvians. (from peru). Here in dom rep, there are alot of japanese cars that have been converted from rx7 to supras to silvias, you name it. They charge me anout 1,200 dollars. They took the dash panel and door panels, and did like a "cut and paste" cover it with fiber glass and vinly. i dare you to tell the difference. here are some pics of my car. you can see the interior.

Thanks for information. So the biggest problem is just found the interior (cover/dash...).
If I have (like I hope) those, not great problems for engine bay (clutch and brakes command) and the interior wires?

Thanks!

jan that cannot be right. Even the door pieces? They refabricated all of the door plastics and stuff? If the interior pieces are done well, 1200 is a STEAL. Hell, I would ship a car there, do the conversion and ship it back. Thats awesome.

the plastic door parts were reused. go see my pictures. a friend of mine converted his rx7 to lhd but he bought the door panels, dash panel, instrument cluster, everything. His conversion cost 3,000 dollars. i didn't want to spend all that money, starting that the car cost me only 12,000 dollars. so how am i spending 25% of the car's cost?

Door panel and instuments could used the same no? Yes, the windows will be just one but is not essential, also the instruments...
For 2000/2500 I think I will do.

So much time of work you think? Here the LHD in original condition are less than UFO.
It will still be a lot of labor. However, much of the problem comes from the need to group together all LHD parts. If you have a front clip all the parts will be there. Then I believe it is more realistic - it's simply a matter of labor.

I drive a RHD car daily, no problems here. I prefer it more than LHD.

Instruments cluster are the same
Door panels are different. you can use lhd door panels or tried to adapt and exchange the handle and air conditioner vent from one door to another. It can be done with fiberglass and then cover with vinly.

you also need to change your rack and pinnion to lhd. And change the windshield wipers, because they are also different.

If it ain't ilegal to drive rhd in your country (like mine) let it be.

Me? Thanks but I'm in Italy, and also I don't like the single turbo conversion... FD is twin seq, and this must remain in my opinion
