Ricks Rotary?

I just talked to a guy that lives down the street from me, he has the only FD in Fremont i believe. Anways i was talking to him about his and he acually let me get in and get a feel for the car. When i asked where he took his car he said Ricks Rotary. Has anyone ever heard of this shop before, it's located in Pleasonton. Also if you have are they a respectable shop that does good work or just another SR Motorsports. Also do they have a dyno in their shop to help fine tune ECU's?

This is in the Bay Area btw, CA

yea, a lot of people in the bay area take it to Rick's. I've only been there once to get a very simple service, just to check it out for myself. He doesn't have a dyno. I believe he does simple PFC "tuning" for very little modded cars. Since you're in Fremont you're pretty close to Ivan in Sunnyvale (237 to 101 and you're there). I've been very happy with his work and highly recommend him.

Rick's Rotary is RX7 Fashion, Rick S. owns/runs both names. For my money Rick is the BEST overall shop. I have never been wronged by him. I have taken my car there at least 20 times for some minor crap and the 80K service interval (new motor ) He is on time, he answers the phone, returnes Emails, explains what he has to do and what he does not have to do. Never pushes anything on anyone and is a great guy.He is a tech, not a race driver making some money. It is a real shop with all gens of RX and some misc there too. One time I showed up thinking I had a bad motor and Rick went to work for several hours Vac/pressure compression test looked at tuning and only charged me 1/2 hour.
I don't think there is a Dyno there however but Rick should be able to get you close.
Call them ( Rick or Dave) up and talk to them about the your car, Just don't go on forever as he usually has several cars in at once.

I totally agree with Donovan. Rick has been very up front and honest with me when I've taken my car to him. He charges reasonable prices and seems to do good work. He is courteous and returns phone calls quickly.

I would certainly recommend him.

BTW, VR up in San Lorenzo.

Donovan, like the sig animation. DOOM rules!

i go to c2 automotive.
ricks kinda strange in handling warranty.
because of him, my warranty refuse to replace turbo, and does not wants to cover 5th gear synchro.
don't know what he said.
but one thing, he is honest. and expensive $90/hour he charged me last time to adjust TPS, and it was 1 hour. he did it in 45 minutes, with 15 minutes driving around.
I was there waiting...

ricks is the place to go. he can be cocky, but thats cause he has every right to be. he once told me, "you can take your car to any shop, but i garauntee that it will end up here in the end". i agree with that. most shops just dont have what it takes to please a customer. rick on the other hand can please a customer. a man of few words, but that's cause he is busy. tired of me calling just to ask a question, tired of donovan just taking his car up there. rick is the man. as much as i dont want to, i think my car will see him again to get the ABS fixed, that is unelss someone has an ABS tester they would like to let me use for five minutes.
