Richmans non seq questions

quick question for the guru's, i'm in the middle of doing my non seq conversion, using to different ppls instructions. 1 place says the pre-control gate to be welded open, other place removes it completely & welds in complete hole in the housing. if u search garfinkles non seq modification u can see the pics of this removed. any advise would be great as i want to reinstall this weekend, thanks

I have my welded. This is because with it welded about 95% the air flows directly into there. Otherwise it is 100% flow and hitting a lip. Instead of a smooth transition.

Hope that makes sense. If you have yours off at the moment you can see what i am talking about.

The one that gets cut off is the one in the Exhaust Manifold.

just take the time to cut it out and weld the holes, its allready out right? ...so just get it over with, its a pain to keep pulling turbos, espically the stock ones..... let that turbo breathe at full potential !

I would be ideal to weld the entire area closed and port the main port, but that is a whole lot of weld and grinding. I have one turbo housing that has it removed, and one that is welded open. The one that is welded open seems like it would flow better to me.

+1 to what twisted7 says.
