rich at startup, then its all clear.

when its cold, the start up puts out quite a bit of fuel, and the idle is a little bit rough. Its not really bad, but bad enough to feel a bit of shaking. Kinda sputters... or something along those lines. Once the car is warm, its everything is fine, there is no smoke and its idle is good. I just had the vacuum line job done by my mech, in addition to getting the turbos rebuilt. Any ideas as to why the car is acting like this? The battery is in dire need of replacement, so Im hoping that this will clear up some of the problems. Otherwise, ideas anyone?

I don't believe this is normal. When I first purchased my FD, it started up fine. After few months (and some mods later) I started experiencing similar problems that Stevey629 described. However, I have yet to figure out the problem since I sold my FD already. I think it may be the air pump causing it to run rich and idle rough since the air pump in my car was not functioning.

I was also told that it's normal. The rough idle is from dirty spark plugs if it continues to sputter after it's warm.
