REW rotor question

i bought a jdm REW(big mistake). and im taking all this apart and start cleaning the rotors and see that they are different?! im thinking jdm sent me two different kinds of rotors. altho does the REW have two different looking rotors?

Perhaps you'd like to tell us exactly how they're different? Different finishes (one smooth, one has thin ridges) perhaps?

Could be rotors from different generations. Could have one s5TII rotor and one s6 rotor. Same compression and weight but look slightly different.

Could be totally different weights and compression. I tore down a reman a couple weeks back with one housing having a noticeable exhaust port and the other side being a stock housing Gotta love it.

You probably need to resize the pics first, that is likely why they are not loading.

Those marks are simply material that's removed so that the rotors are balanced to a specific weight.

most of the engines i have taken apart do not have identical rotors.some have swirls that are used to take off weight some don't.remember that when they pour the raw material into the rotors they are all different in weight,some are heavier than others due to air caught in the material and so forth.thats why they shave holes in the rotors to make sure they have the right balance.

no, it is just balancing the engine so it does not vibrate alot. it is very common to see this. dont worry...

even when i 88 vert broke down it didnt vibrate but it cracked something or blew a hole out of the water jacket i havnt torn into it yet but i will soon anything i should be looking for when i tear it apart
