Reversing hood hinges

putting this out there, the heat etc. reversing the hood opening you could crack the hood to vent the heat. Any thoughts / ideas besides a new vented one. I like to keep the original look, one could open the hood a crack an inch or three on the move to vent the heat.

so that the hood opens like a vette hood? i think i've read something about this being a low pressure area, so it doesnt vent heat very well on the move.

You could shim up the hood hinges with some washers, but from what I've heard air will actually get sucked in there. I tried removing the weather strip there once and it didn't help anything.

I thank you guys for the input. I know when I shut down my FD at home I always open the hood and this really lowers the soak temps. It would just be nice to be able to crack the hood a couple of inches to allow all the heat to vent to prevent high soak temps. I don't like to see over 210. I like to run between 195 and 205 on the road.

yea the area right at the front of the windshield is high press. air will flow into the engine bay. remember the big reverse hood cowels on cameros and old domestic iron? it suks air to the big carbs. i am sure that you could set it up to work maybe with a vented hood or something. idk. i've seen some drift guys with it. who knows
