MS Request: JDM/UK/AUS Wiring Diagram PDF

Hello

I would really love to get my hands on a FD3S wiring diagram for the JDM chassis. Japanese would be acceptable but I'd really love to get a copy of the diagram translated into engine that would have been written for our brothers in the UK/AUS.

Late models up to 2002 would be fine. What I'm mainly interested in is diagrams of features we didn't get in the US like the automatic climate control.

If anyone out there has a pdf I can download I'd love a link. You'd have my eternal thanks

Whoops!

"diagram translated into engine"
should be:
"diagram translated into English"

Damn autocorrect

There is no automatic climate control. Its just a switch apparently with the ECU having the final say on whether the compressor runs or not.

Good to know! I got confused with the "Auto" button as shown below:

Does anyone know what it does? Since its where the airflow input selector switch is on the USDM panel, I'm guessing it could possibly override the selection on the temperature **** above?

Its questions like that, that make me really want to take a peek at the late model JDM wiring diagrams. I am still VERY interested in getting a copy if someone has one I can reference. It's not only the HVAC panel. I'm interested in things like the upgraded ABS wiring, etc, etc.

You don't want it, they're forever going wrong

That unit is in auto-x cars, so from '91 onwards.

What the Climate Control or the upgraded ABS pump?

Honestly I don't want either one. I just want the knowledge of how they work. I just want to learn folks

The climate control. I was going to fit it in my last FD as I found a doner car in a local scrap yard, then after a bit of research... I found out how unreliable the system was....No thanks!

Thee are 3 types of ABS at least used over the years.

Yep. My curiosity comes from the fact that I manufacture plug and play interfaces for the RX7's A/C switch for guys that don't have a rotary under the hood any more but still want A/C. My design works and is based on USDM circuits that includes a thermoswitch, but I have recently had guys contact me with JDM chassis that have this different type of climate control. It is different enough that my interface no longer works and I would like to know why, otherwise these guys waiting on me to come up with a solution will keep baking in the hot summer's heat

Yeeees I know. I only have diagrams for 1, which is the early 3 channel on that came on my 93 FD3. I'd like to have the diagrams for the other 2 systems as well

One of the German guys was ordering a version VI workshop wiring CD out of Japan, he was trying to get a group buy together on Fdrx7 because of cost - without much success, so you could undoubtedly get one for a touring X....or trawl the auctions for a print copy, I don't like your chances otherwise. The early electrical manuals for Au delivery are/were still available for purchase a while back.

There's actually 6 variants of ABS in RHDs, some larger changes than others.

Good to know although a little disappointing. Thank you for the help!

When you put climate control in auto mode, the only user input that is read is the temperature you choose.

The system will automatically adjust fan speed and output temperature to make the temperature in the cabin as close to the temperature you've set as possible.

Thanks Marf!

That's about what I was expecting. I'd say its intended function lives up to the name I was giving it earlier ("automatic climate control")

No problem.

Are you retrofitting this to your car?

I have no plans to retrofit the CC, but I do enjoy reading diagrams and learning about different options/configurations that mazda released

Now a ABS upgrade may be something I'd consider down the road.

Fair enough. Shame I was hoping you might be retrofitting it as I'd like to put it in my RX!
