Replacing vacume hoses

I was thinking of buying some viton tubing from McMaster-Carr (40’ of 3.5mm, 15’ of 4.0mm, 16’ of 6.0mm, 4’ of 8.0mm) are these inside diameter sizes? Also do i buy firm or soft hoses. If any of you know of a better place to buy viton tubing for the FD please let me know.

Thanks

From what I read, Hose Techniques sells kits and seems to be mentioned a lot around this forum.

http://www.hosetechniques.com/svh-ca...zda-c-104_2_29 leads to their Mazda section. RX-7s are on the bottom....

but heck what do I know, only 11 posts lol

If you buy from McMaster-Carr, do not buy the thin wall tubing. Get the thickest size they offer.

There was a group buy done on Viton tubing that was made very well for the FD application. Unfortunately the McMaster-Carr Viton tubing is much more expensive and doesn't fit as well. I would use Hose Techniques or Baker Precision silicone and spend the extra money replacing something else. When you're in the rats nest there are a lot of "something else"s to consider.
