Question replacing oem gauges????

i am thinking of replacing the stock oil pressure and water temp gauges with two defi gauges. can i do this without running into many problems? i am going to mount three other defi guages on the a-pillar and would like to use the wasted space of the two meaningless oem gauges. does it look funny with two aftermarket gauges in the oem cluster(even though the black face defi's match very closely)?

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, but i'm waiting for my gauges.. i test fitted it with another 52mm gauge and it looks like it should be okay with some filing/sanding of parts of the stock gauge housing, it doesn't actually look like too much of an issue..

Here's what the Defi looks like mounted in the stock locations:

The Defi's come with senders that replace the stock ones. There's no bad effects of removing the stock ones because they send the signal to the dash, not to the computer.

Hope that helps.

how about using defi-d gauges? they light up an amber color thats close to stock. Theyre a bit on the orange side but its possibly the closest color you'll get to match the dash.

We demand night pictures! Did you sand off the orange film and go with green LED's? How hard would it be to use amber LED's in the Defi's to match the stock gauges?
