Replacing a new throwout bearing- question

I'm replacing my clutch throwout bearing, I loosen the spring.
Do I need to unbolt the clutch arm from the bellhousing before I can slide the arm out and replace the throwout bearing?

You have to take off the transmission completely to get to the throwout bearing. Once it's out the throw out bearing removal/installation is pretty straight forward. Pull out the old one, grease up the new one and slide it back on the fork and onto the shaft.

It's been years since I've done a clutch - but I believe the TOB is removed by compressing it (by hand), then pulling it out. It's like a child safety cap.

I think you need to take the two bolts that holding the clutch pork (arm) from the bellhousing before you can slide the pork out from the spline and replace the throwout bearing???

There's nothing to compress by hand except the spring.

^Yes. IIRC there are only two bolts for the clutch fork. Remove them. IIRC there's also a locating pin in the mount of the fork so it might take a little prying or light tap to loosen. Then remove the fork and then replace the throw-out bearing. I'd clean the collar and make sure it's smooth. Then a light coating of grease. I think the FSM also specifies grease on the tips of the fork.
