replacement horn

While looking for a new horn for my Kawasaki Concours, I came up with the following compact two-tone electro-pneumatic horn from Sebel:

http://www.stebel.it/stebel/index2006_1.htm

Navigate to <Nautilus Compact Series> to hear the horn in "high-resolution".

With a small bracket made, I was able to get it to fit into the same space as the stock horn on the driver's left side, and running the relay and wiring directly to the battery with a 20-amp fuse.

She now has that piercing & authoritative Italian air-horn sound.

I got mine from MurphKits (URL to come) for $39 shipped USPS Priority Mail.

Note, the compact version ONLY comes in black (no red or chrome).

:-) neil

BTW: use a sealed relay, and put dielectric grease or some other corrossive protection on all connectors.

Good stuff! I looked at that horn when I was looking to upgrade mine. I ended up with a '95 Nissan Quest horn - I have one of those vans that my wife is currently driving (supposed to be my DD...anyhow) and it has a good, plain, authoritative horn. Got a set of horns from the junkyard for $3 - bolted right up and plugged into the stock harness.

Glad you like the Nautilus!

I splurged when I replaced my horn. Went to Kragens, and spent about $16 on a Carrand Magnum Blaster. 138 decibels with a nice "Italian" sound. Bolted up in stock location, with stock wiring. I very nice improvement. As I recall, Ramy got an "earful" over my cell

Here's the link and a picture. As you can see, it is a compact compressor and air-horn, which gives it a nice trumpet sound.

I didn't worry too much about my crappy stock horn until 2 people started abcking up, and almost hit me. My lousy OEM horn was so quiet that they didn't hear it. That won't happen again!!!
