replace or clean oil cooler after rebuild?

Hey guys I am about to finished with my rebuild after losing an apex seal in the rear housing and was curious if it known for pieces of metal to get in there from a blown apex seal? I would just think it would fly right out the exhuast but you never know.
Thanks
Chance

As far as I know, you should be ok. I would still clean them and flush them out real good. I've had bearing shavings in my oil and I cleaned my coolers out pretty good.

nope. i can't think of it ever being possible that apex seals can end up in the oil coolers.

I would question how an apex seal would get into the sump. With every rebuild, it's always smart to start off fresh! Take it out and flush it out... Kerosene works well.
