Talking Removing UIM

I'm removing the UIM to get at the solenoid rack. Will I need a new gasket once I put the UIM back on, or can I reuse the one that's already there? Mine was just replaced about 5k miles ago, but I know you should probably use new gaskets every time. If I go ahead and get new gaskets, where would a good place to get them be? Thanks in advance.

You can reuse it.

if you do get new ones you can get them from Malloy, but like mahjik said you can reuse them.

The "new" metal lower to upper intake manifold gasket is reusable many times. If it's recently been replaced, you'll be fine. Also, you don't need RTV on the gasket - it's actually a bad idea, as the RTV is typically the weak spot that can leak. The gasket is designed to seal on its own.

If you haven't seen it, here's my newbie guide to pulling the intake manifold -

Yeah, it's a metal gasket. No need to replace it.
