I just finished a week of driving around without the tranny tray.
One thing that I noticed is the center console is a little cooler.
Has anyone else done this?

Oh, and I haven't seen a diff with or w/out it. I *did* notice a huge difference when a certain short hispanic dude put in my short shifter and didn't replace the square-black-grommet-plate-thing. You could literally feel the heat blowing up into the interior.

I had mine off for a while and didn't notice any difference.
I can't really imagine that thing acting as an insulator since there is space for hot air to flow. Lets remember this was designed for shielding purposes.
The temp drop is most likely the result of something else you did.
