Removing tail light ?

Took off the tail light and removed the the 6 screws from the backside. Question is, how the heck do I take it apart? I've tried several things but don't wanna break it. I'd hate to screw up and have to pay an arm and a leg for it. Anyone got a simple pic or method?

I just pushed mine to the side. Once they pop loose stop pushing or you will break the tab. I didn't use a heat gun or anything

He is talking about literally taking them apart, probably for the 99 spec conversion. He is not asking how to take the light off the car, I dont think.

i've did about 5- 99 conversions and u just have to reach down low and grab some *****

j/k u need to heat up the lights where the screws r
very hot!

not to melt **** but hold enough i usely take a screw driver and start to pry on it

be careful do not pry on the lens u will crack it ****

keep working at the lights until the glue starts to give then is all comes off

i'm doing another set sone i might post pics

NEVER PRY ON THE LENSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

**** WILL BREAK

TAKE YOUR TIME AND WORK AT IT

sorry for the miss spelling i'm at work

I just did the conversion also and used the instructions on the link. I used a screw driver to start the seperation on the outside edge. After 5 mins with the heat gun it should be too hot to start to pull apart with your hands. Pull slowly and be careful of the stringy glue.
Good Luck
