removing dashboard
Any give me a link to the FSM, or tell me where every things at?
Stuff I removed already: gauge cluster/surround, radio/cd player, A/C controls, glove box, little side plastics to the right and left of feet, dead pedal.
I'm thinking I'm at the point where it's just clips like the gauge surround, but I want to make sure.

So here we go:
on the side where you remove the "trim piece" for Vents, there are 2 bolts both left and right side. (4 total here)
on the top, center of the dash near the windshield glass, there is a square piece of trim piece, carefully pop it out and you will see a 10mm bolt there (1 bolt)
Now on the steering column, after removing the upper and lower trim piece on behind steering wheel, you will see 2x 12mm bolt there, remove it (2 bolts here)
Now on each side of the center console, there should be a trim piece triangular shaped. Remove both left and right side, and UNDER the carpet (you have to move aside and pull on the carpet, it has some Velcro behind it) There you will see 2x bolts here (4 total, 2x left and 2x right)
After that, I remove the hand brake which consist of 3 bolts (3 total) Remove it. Now SLOW yank the dash towards you, and on the driver side, there are quite a few connectors, remove those (I dont recall exactly how many). AND BECAREFUL, there should be a connector that is BLUE in color, that connects to the passenger compartment fuse box. REMOVE IT or if the dash falls and pull won it, it ill yank your fuse box out and ruin the rear pins in the back and you would need a new one. **ASK ME HOW I KNOW** O_o
On the passenger side, there should be few connectors, I believe 3 if my memory serves me right. Remove those.
Then you can yank the dash towards you and remove it. Good luck and pm me if you need additional help.

AzEKnightz, thanks a lot man....much appreciated. Now head up to SacTown and give me a hand.
I can tell from your post that I did miss quite a few things. I should have it off this morning, with some luck.

Definitely pull it out with another person and put it back in with another person.
1 the dash cover pops out to access bolt
2 and 3 two bolts on each side
4 and 5 two bolts on each side.. youll need to remove side panels.. held via pushpins
6 two bolts holdin the steering column
7 unclip connectors from the bracket holder.. this requires patience
Got this off of No Pistons, hope it helps.

Also, incase anyone references this thread later:
Remove 2x 10mm bolts for the hood release latch
There are 7 connecters under the dash that you need to remove as well:
3 x on bottom right passenger side (blue) *I didn't break my pins AzEKnightz*
2 x top left corner driver side (blue)
1 x connecting above the fuse box near pedals (green)
*EDIT*
GreatShamanGT, what does the cable under the "4&5" go to?? The one coming out from under the carpet on the transmission tunnel?
Seems I pulled that one out a little to hard. and broke it.
Did this all by myself.
I'll probably get someone to help me put it back in though. My fingers hurt after pulling those connecters off.

Glad you took it out all by urself. I did that myself too. Wouldn't be too bad putting it in. Just start putting it in from pass side and slide towards driver's front.
Oh yeah, also forgotten to mention that you need to remove the hood pop cable. I dont think you even need to remove the screw on it. Just pull the cable 90 degree towards the floor and there is a small gap allowing you to remove the cable. literally takes about 2seconds (very similar to the throttle cable removal)
Glad this can help out fellahs out there and NOT break things O.o

I used JB weld on mine, and then I just sanded it out and repainted it. I didn't do a very good job on it, but if I spent more time on it then it would have come out nice.
I believe the connector is either to the reverse lights of your car or maybe to the antenna? I'm not too sure, but you don't have too many choices. They could also be to the little warning lights under your elbow.

Here's a little tip that will help during re-assembly...get yourself a label maker and label all the electrical connectors as you disconnect them. Once the dash and the HVAC are removed the wiring harness is like a rats nest and having things lableled definitely makes putting it all back together a little easier.
wow, brought this thread from the death! Anyways, it's not that bad of a job. As for connectors, yes you can do or not. Because they aren't interchangeable. =)
Good luck with removals and installations =]
