Removing airpump need help

Hey guys,

Just got a midpipe and greddy pulley kit. It's time to eliminate my airpump!!! =)

Well my delema is this. I am going to gave to smog my car in less than 6 mo so I will have to replace all. Not a big deal, but I dont want to block off the airpump pipes. Is there any other way of doing this? Can I just use rubber plugs? Do I really need to plug those pipes?

Thanks

Ian

Removed airpump and did nothing to the open hoses yet. Block off plates on the way. If there isn't flow coming from the airpump there really is no worry. I think there is a 1 way valve that way no exhaust gas comes up in reverse

if its not a big deal to let the pipes sit there why do people block them off?
