Remove, rebuild & reinstall stock turbos
I am going to be removing my stock '93 turbos for a rebuild. The engine is fine, but after a plugged pre-cat issue that is now solved, I am leaking oil into the intake tract. I'm starting to look for some support now so I can get rolling again for the season in May. Any suggestions besides a camera, a whole bunch of labels and a shop manual?

If you're going to do all the work yourself I suggest you definitely read alot prior to dissasmbling the turbos and working on them, there are varius websites.
You need to work very clean around turbos and its little pain in the a$$ bearings so they don't clogg up upon assembling them and have leaks or even blowing them completely.
These 2 websites have alot of info about turbos and general how-to's,,, More than you can read in few days... Good luck, they helped me alot before I rebuilded my twins....

Hey, BTW if you not to sure on yourself or don't have required tools to rebuild them, since you're not to far just get the rebuild kit from Turbo City and bring them down, I'll do it for you, free of charge.
I have done few sets succesfully and they are working fine so far...but you must be aware of the fact that not all twins are in rebuildable shape though, due to big manifold cracks especialy around wategate area and some bent, cracked or even brocken compressor or turbine fins, etc...
How many miles you got on the car/turbo...?

Turbo Rebuild thread
here's the turbo rebuild thread - it's in the FAQ:
Turbo Rebuild w/ pics:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/questions-before-undertaking-turbo-rebuild-272685/
Be aware that this guy rebuilt his, they howled like mad, he took them on and off 7/8 times, finally sent them to Turbo city - they found the things he did wrong (nut too tight-cracked a turbine seal I think, balanced them, and nows he's got them back - last post I saw he had about 3000 miles on them and was still happy...
I just took mine off this weekend, I have two of the turbo city kits (a big rip-off for the few parts you get - IMO) and am wondering if it's worth it.
Two things that worry me:
1. the guy above seemed pretty careful - yet he screwed up the balance - he used the new Comp nut in the kit - I may use the old one and hope for better balance.
2. another guy in the thread had a nut come off - trashing his turbos
So - given that I just got an offer to buy a single turbo kit sell on ebay for $1050 (not the SS AutoChrome Crap - it's from singleturbo7.com) - maybe it's time to pitch all these stock twins crap in the trash and start over??
John - want to come to Detroit and rebuild mine? It's lovely this time of year!
