Sounds like some other wiring issue or just a low battery. It should crank no matter the position on the EGI fuse.

to add on to my description above
i removed both the relay and fuse for the egi,
then when i turn it onto accessories (not kicking it over) the leads arc out to the block?
WTF the egi isnt in and the car is only getting turned to accessories why is it trying to spark?

the car wont fire unless the EGI is good and in place. I had a problem w/ my alternator wires shorting out and it was blowing the egi fuse until I fixed the wiring. Are you seeing the yellow light on the microtech flash w/ the ignition pulses or are you getting a redlight? (lt8 series).

when the egi fuse is in i see the orange light flash and the car cranks, but when the egi fuse is out the car wont crank and the orange light doesnt come on i dont think,,,no red light at all,,, but what stumped me is without the egi fuse in i turn it onto accessories and the spark plug wire senrd a spark and it eearths out on the block (thats not even trying to start it) then when u do try to start it, it just does nothing

The EGI is for your fuel control, not ignition:

The EGI controls power to both the injectors and the solenoids, and works in conjunction with the COR to basically control power flow to all vital engine functions.

You should hear an audible loud clicking sound when you turn the key.
I'm assuming the Microtech isn't changing any of that functionality, so in that case you aren't going to get any fuel when cranking it without the EGI in place (i.e. one reason why removing will help de-flood the car). Are you saying that the engine won't even turn without the EGI plugged in?

The egi does control the fuel and ignition.

so when the egi is removed there should be no spark or pulse from the coils?
