Reman Pricing question

So, when buying a reman from mazda, I assume that the price they quote you is with you turning in a core?

I bougth mine from Ray Crowe, he charged me $2500 and set up shipping to me and shipping for my core return. The invoice showed: 13brew $2500.00 core fee $1000.00 core return -$1000.00 all when I received the reman. I told Ray my core was trash, nothing could be reused and he said "just send the core back and I'll take care of the rest." And he did.

2200 is a damn good deal. Make sure it comes with the water pump, flywheel, oil pan, and oil metering injectors.

That is dealer cost for me since we own a mazda dealership in our fleet. I assume all remans are built with H20 pumps, flywheel/oil pan/oil meter inj, right? I will have to check for sure...

In your opinions....should I take the motor apart when I get it to make sure all is well, or just put it in the car? What is the warranty on the remans?

last i heard it was 1 yr/12k miles. it may have changed recently.

re: the motor, alot depends on how much power/boost you plan to make. up to around 300 rwhp I say leave it as-is.

The only reason to do so would be if you wanted to port the housing.
