Question Reliable? or Not

As soon as i can sell my firebird, I plan to get either a 3rd gen RX7 TT, 1970's 240Z with a 350 V8, VW GTI VR6, or a mustang 5.0.

My question has to do with the reliability of rotary engines. Can i drive the car everyday(actually mostly weekends becuase of college i have class during the week) Ive rebuilt V8's and so fourth and can maintain them, i do not have very much knowledge of Rotary engines.

1. are they reliable?
2. easy to maintain?
3. when im looking for a car, how many miles are too many on these engines?

Thanks,
